As Forsyth continues to chart growth from year to year, the results show steady progress.  “Of all 30 areas where comparisons can be made from 2006-2007, FCS made gains in 27 of the 30 with three remaining consistent with scores from 2006.  Our schools have worked hard and deserve kudos for continued growth in student performance and maintaining excellence”, states Lissa Pijanowski, Executive Director of School Improvement, Assessment, and Accountability. 

Below are charts showing growth within the system from 2006-2007.  Highlighted areas cannot be compared considering 2007 was the first year for administering the new GPS aligned version of the CRCT.  The 2007 scores serve as baseline data for charting future growth.

In addition to our growth within the system, Forsyth also compares performance against the State.  The charts below show the system to state comparisons and the percent difference of students meeting or exceeding standard on the CRCT.  In all areas Forsyth outperforms the State and in several instances by 20 percent or more students meeting or exceeding standard.
