Georgia High School Graduation Tests
SAT
The SAT is an optional test given to measure basic verbal and mathematical reasoning skills related to successful performance in college.
Understanding the scores. Three scores are reported -- verbal, math, and total. The verbal and math are listed as scale scores ranging from 200-800. The total score is obtained by combining the verbal and math scores.

Georgia High School Graduation Tests (GHSGT)
Georgia law requires all students seeking to obtain a high school diploma to pass a set of tests in English/language arts, writing, math, social studies and science. Students first take the tests in their junior year.
Understanding the scores. Scores are reported on the percentage of students passing the test by subject area on the first attempt. Based on Spring 2005 information, Fulton County high schools listed below showed at least 85% of studnets passing in all four subjects tested (English, Math, Social Studies and Science)
